Choosing a season is one of the most difficult and important tasks of any theatre. At MTC, the Artistic Directors begin the process in early January, reading hundreds of scripts, consulting with company members and researching the latest trends. We try to balance our choices between the quality of the plays, their relevance to the present day, their entertainment value, and audience preferences. Into this mix also go the practical considerations of spatial demands, number of cast members, and, of course, cost. This coming season we offer you a banquet of classical, musical, dramatic and comedic plays, and add to these a series of readings, special events, and a main stage youth production.
