ABOUT THE PLAY
A MUSICAL TRIBUTE TO FRIENDSHIP AND SONG Ted Swindley’s popular musical follows the true story of Patsy Cline’s friendship with Louise Seger, a fan from Houston, who befriended the star in a Texas honky-tonk and continued a correspondence with Cline until her untimely death in a plane crash. Featuring 27 of Patsy’s greatest hits, it is a summer treat for the whole family.

Character Descriptions
Patsy Cline- The legendary country singer (actual age in 20s – 30s*) – Primarily a singing role, the actress performs 27 songs throughout the show. Dressed in multiple iconic costumes of the period she must inhabit the spirit of Patsy Cline.
*Note the actor playing Patsy does not have to fall into this age group
Louise Seger- A spunky Texas housewife and lifelong fan of Patsy Cline, age 40-60 – Louise is a comic role with a great deal of sincerity and passion. She is deep Texas, working class, and full of piss and vinegar. Louise is brash but not obnoxious and comes off a little like the lovable Rodeo clown to Patsy’s class act.
