  • In 2013, the Mendocino Theatre Company’s season of all 21st Century American plays produced one of our most thrilling and successful years to date. Ticket sales skyrocketed, resulting in added performances and long waitlists. Appreciative audiences responded by eagerly recommending our plays to friends and neighbors, giving rousing standing ovations, and hurriedly purchasing tickets for our next show.

In 2014, we at the Mendocino Theatre Company want to say thank you. We heard you when you raved about the magical realism of Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo. We took note when you came to see our inventive comedy The 39 Steps for a second, or even a third time. We remember your moving words of appreciation for the Pulitzer Prize winning Doubt: A Parable.

This year, we are giving you more of what you want. We have chosen six highly-theatrical plays, each selected for its unique ability to entertain in that imaginative way that only live theatre can accomplish.

We understand that our audience has many choices in entertainment. In 2014, we promise something that cannot be found in any film, internet browser, or video game: a story telling experience you’ve never seen before, and one you’ll never forget.
