Class meets TWO Saturdays, Saturday, September 24 and Saturday, October 1 at Mendocino Theatre Company rehearsal room at the Community Center of Mendocino, 998 School St, Mendocino, CA 95460. Participants must show proof of COVID vaccination.
ABOUT JIMMY BETTS’ MOVEMENT-BASED THEATER WORKSHOP
What does it mean to be grounded on stage? How can you prepare yourself physically to be ready for any outside stimulus? If acting is reacting, then it must be much more than memorizing lines, right? Come explore these and many more questions as we seek to discover how best to prepare your most important asset: your body!
Jimmy Betts is a familiar face to the coast having appeared in MTC’s productions of ‘Luna Gale’, ‘4000 Miles’, as well as their upcoming production of ‘In a Word’. A seasoned actor/deviser having performed in NYC, Chicago, and numerous other theaters across the country, he is also an alumnus of Webster Conservatory’s prestigious theatre arts program.
Wear clothes you are very comfortable moving in!
